WATCH: North American olim try sufganiyot for the first time

North American olim are no strangers to doughnuts, but for their first Hanukkah in Israel, Nefesh B’Nefesh decided to introduce them to the Israeli sufganiyot.

The NGO produced a Buzzfeed-style taste-testing video, giving a group of new immigrants a series of different sufganiyot, from the traditional jelly and powdered sugar sufganiya to exotic looking ones topped with a variety of flavors invented by Israeli bakeries for the holiday.

The youngest olim to participate in the tasting are four-year-old Noam and Eitan, while the oldest was 90-year-old Joseph, a Holocaust survivor who made aliyah to be close to his lone soldier grandson.
