AMNESTY INTERNTIONAL: Israel Denying COVID-19 vaccines to Palestinians
Despite the Oslo agreement signed almost 30 years ago by both the Israeli leadership and the Palestinian Authority which created clear administrative boundaries between both peoples, Amnesty International, a “Human Rights” organization claims “Israel’s COVID-19 vaccine program highlights the institutionalized discrimination that defines the Israeli government’s policy towards Palestinians”.
Amnesty Internation continues to explain that Israel is an “occupying power” that Israel is responsible for all Arabs living within Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip. A confusing statement as many government bodies around the world recognizes the Arabs as having an independent Palestinian State. The PA leader Mahmoud Abbas declared an independent state which continues to act against international law and for the destruction of the Jewish State. For all intense purposes, they have autonomy. So how could Amnesty International ignore the facts on the ground and point towards Israel as being completely responsible?
If the reader is confused yet as to who has the authority and who is responsible for the Arab population within Judea, Samaria, and Gaza Strip, you are not alone. It is in the best interest of the PA for this status to be questionable, which is clearly illustrated in Amenity International’s claim.
On one hand, the PA is seen as independent and an authority over their own people where their leadership can rule, attract international aid, siphon off the top and transfer cash to their off-shore accounts while their people suffer. Yet the PA leadership does not need to worry about taking any responsibility for their own situation.
This brings us to the conclusion that if “Human Rights” groups like Amnesty International believe that the Israeli government is ultimately responsible for the Arab population with Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza strip, then they should be actively supporting the application of Israeli law throughout all this land, for all people. For only under a democracy where civil liberties and human rights are protected and respected, can people live in peace. We cannot have a status of confusion where Israel thrives and is being blamed for the Arab suppression by their own leadership.
