Israel bombs Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to rockets fired at civilians

Israeli fighter jets bombed Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to rockets fired by Muslim terrorists at the southern city of Ashkelon late Friday.

“Two rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israeli territory. In response, IDF fighter jets and IDF aircraft struck terror targets belonging to the Hamas terror group in Gaza,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.

The IDF struck several Hamas terror sites in central Gaza, including a rocket manufacturing facility and training.

According to Arab reports, two terrorists were lightly wounded in the strikes.

Code Red rocket alert sirens sounded Friday night in Ashkelon, Zikim, Karmia, Netiv HaAssara and Mavki’im.

Two rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system over Ashkelon.
