IDF bombs Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to rocket fired toward southern Israel

BREAKING: IDF aircraft bombed Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to a rocket fired toward southern Israel.

“In response to the rocket that was fired from Gaza into Israel earlier tonight, our aircraft struck underground Hamas infrastructure in Gaza,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.

Code Red rocket sirens sounded tonight in Nachal Oz, Kfar Azza, Sa’ad.

A rocket was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system over Kibbutz Sa’ad.

Earlier, the IDF announced that it had uncovered a terror tunnel that crosses from Gaza into Israeli territory near Kissufim.

The tunnel was dug from the area of Khan Yunis and was exposed following excavation efforts. The IDF said that it is not known to which terror group the tunnel belongs, but that it held Hamas responsible.
