IDF bombs Hamas terror targets in Gaza as incendiary, explosive attacks continue
Israeli fighter jets and tanks bombed Hamas terror targets in southern Gaza late Sunday in response to hundreds of explosive devices and firebombs attached to balloons launched by Muslim terrorists toward southern Israel.
“Explosive balloons were launched from Gaza into Israel throughout the day. In response, we just struck military posts and underground infrastructure belonging to Hamas in Gaza. We remain ready to operate decisively against any terror threat to Israeli civilians and sovereignty,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
Hundreds of firebombs and explosive devices attached to balloons were launched by Muslim terrorists from Gaza into southern Israel on Sunday, causing at least 37 fires.
After PM Netanyahu and ministers suggested last week that Israel would resume targeted elimination of senior terrorists, the Hamas leadership has reportedly gone underground.
