60 fires broke out in Israel due to firebomb-balloons launched by Muslim terrorists from Gaza
At least 60 fires broke out today in southern Israel due to firebombs and explosive devices attached to balloons, launched by Muslim terrorists from Gaza into Israel.
Their goal? Torching Israeli fields, destroying wildlife, people’s food and livelihoods.
Multiple fire department units dealt with fires near Sderot, Nahal Oz, Be’er Marva, Shokeda Forest, Be’eri, Kissufim Forest and in the Eshkol and Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Councils.
“I want to say to all of Iran’s forces, including in Gaza, there will be a very heavy price for the balloon terror,” PM Netanyahu said.
“We will not suffer this, we will act and exact a heavy price. We have done it in the past and we will do it now,” Netanyahu added.
“Hamas is allowing the continued launching of arson and explosive-carrying balloons into Israel. They would do well to stop disturbing the security and quit in Israel. If that doesn’t happen, we will need to respond, and forcefully,” Defense Minister Benny Gantz said.
Following security deliberations and in light of repeated terror attacks committed by Muslim terror groups in Gaza against Israeli citizens, the COGAT decided to close the Kerem Shalom commercial border crossing with Gaza.
Saif al-Islam, Ahfad an-Nassar and Sons of Zouari, all cells of Muslim terrorists, posted on social media pictures of devices ready to be used and threatened the residents of southern Israel with more terror attacks.
Hamas terror group has also threatened to renew rocket fire toward civilians in southern Israel.
The rise in tensions coincides with the next month’s expiration of monthly cash bribes provided to Hamas by Qatar.
