Terror attack thwarted: 4 Muslim terrorists eliminated on the Israeli border with Syria
BREAKING: The IDF eliminated four Muslim terrorists near the security border fence with Syria in the southern Golan Heights.
According to initial reports, the IDF identified four Muslim terrorists who were planting explosives near the border fence. Israeli special forces nearby opened fire along with air support, eliminating the threat.
Direct hits were identified.
No injuries reported among the IDF.
“We just thwarted an attempt by 4 terrorists to place explosives near the security fence between Israel and Syria. Our troops and aircraft fired toward the squad and a hit was identified. We are ready for any scenario and hold the Syrian regime responsible for all events in Syria,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
Last week, the IDF thwarted a Hezbollah terrorist attack when a cell of four Muslim terrorists from Lebanon advanced several meters into Israeli territory.
Tensions with the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group show no signs of easing.
The IDF called up reservists, deployed additional Iron Dome batteries and pushed the largest reinforcements since the 2006 war to the border with Lebanon. Israel assumes that Nasrallah is determined to launch a significant attack, partly due to the economic situation in Lebanon.
