Security incident underway on the Israel-Lebanon border
HAPPENING NOW: A number of suspected Hezbollah terrorists were identified near the border fence with Lebanon. The incident is under surveillance, the IDF said.
Residents of Shtula have been asked to remain indoors.
Local residents report that public roads are currently being closed in the area.
Arabs report the sound of warning shots being fired by the IDF.
The IDF has begun to call up a number of reservists to reinforce the Northern Command after IDF troops thwarted an infiltration attempt by Hezbollah when a cell of four Muslim terrorists advanced several meters into Israeli territory.
The infiltration attempt appeared to have been in response to the elimination of a Hezbollah terrorist in an Israeli raid on Iranian weapons warehouses in Syria last week.
According to officials, Israel assumes that Nasrallah is determined to launch a significant attack, partly due to the economic situation in Lebanon.
