BREAKING: Israeli fighter jets bombed Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to rockets fired by Muslim terrorists towards southern Israel.
An explosion was heard west of the central governorate of Gaza amid reports of intensive flight of Israeli jets.
Initial reports of Israeli drones targeting an underground terror infrastructure east of Deir al-Balah. No casualties reported. The drones still circling overhead, according to Arab reports.
An observation post east of the Jabaliya cemetery was reportedly targeted by IDF drones.
IAF helicopters reported over northern Gaza.
Additional explosions reported west of Khan Younis. One report in Gaza claims a site west of Khan Younis has been hit with at least seven strikes.
Roof knocks being conducted at a Hamas position in central Gaza, according to Arab reports.
Several strikes reported in southern Gaza. Al-Tal and al-Harbi were targeted multiple times.
Power outage reported in some areas of western Gaza.
“Earlier tonight, two rockets were fired from Gaza at Israel. In response, a short while ago, IDF fighter jets targeted Hamas terror targets in southern Gaza. During the strikes, a rocket manufacturing workshop and a weapons manufacturing facility belonging to the Hamas terror group were struck. This strike will impede Hamas’ future abilities,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.
“The IDF views any kind of terror activity aimed at Israel with great severity and will continue operating as necessary against attempts to harm Israeli civilians. The Hamas terror group is responsible for all events in Gaza and emanating from it, and will bear the consequences for its actions against Israeli civilians,” the IDF added.
Earlier, Israeli tanks fired at least four shells at a Hamas observation point near al-Mutaibq terror camp near Maghazi.
Two rockets were fired by Muslim terrorists in Gaza towards southern Israel on Friday evening.
Code Red rocket sirens sounded earlier in Gavim, Sapir College and Nir Am Shooting Range.
One of the rockets exploded in an open area, the other fell short and exploded inside Gaza.
Yesterday, a spokesman for Hamas’ armed wing Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, whose sole mission is to murder Jews, said that Israel’s plans to apply sovereignty over Jewish communities of Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley constitute a “declaration of war.”
His terror group would make Israel “regret bitterly” its decision to apply its sovereignty to parts of Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley, the jihadi said.
