10-day-old Syrian baby flown to Israel for life-saving surgery
A 10-day-old Syrian baby was flown by emergency air ambulance from Larnaca for a life-saving heart operation at the Sheba Medical Center in central Israel, Israeli Ambassador to Cyprus Sammy Revel announced in a tweet.
Ambassador Revel said that the transport of the baby was possible through vital cooperation with Cyprus’ Health Ministry following a special approval from Israel.
“Vital cooperation with Cyprus Health Ministry with special approval from Israel, 10 days old Syrian baby flown by emergency air ambulance for a life-saving heart operation at Sheba Hospital in Israel. Vital solidarity in times of Covid19. Praying for full Recovery and Health,” Ambassador Revel tweeted.
