28 wanted terrorists arrested overnight during counter-terrorism operations in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria

BREAKING: Border Police forces operated overnight in several Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem. According to Arab reports, the forces arrested at least 21 Muslim terrorists who were wanted for involvement in violent riots and violence directed against civilians and security personal.

Violent riots broke out following the arrest of two wanted terrorists in the Arab village of Qabatiya in northern Samaria, with Muslim terrorists throwing rocks and firebombs at IDF troops operating in the area.

Arabs report that the IDF closed the entrance to the village and responded with crowd dispersal methods, including tear gas.

Three wanted teen-terrorists, including a released convicted terrorist, were arrested overnight in the Bethlehem area.

In addition, a Muslim terrorist was arrested at a checkpoint near Jerusalem and a female terrorist at a checkpoint next to Ramallah.

All the terrorists were turned over to security agencies for further investigation.

Yesterday, it was cleared for publication that the Shin Bet in a joint operation with the IDF and the Israeli Police captured the Muslim terrorist who threw a large rock from the roof of a home and murdered Golani First Sgt Amit Ben Ygal three weeks ago. He has been interrogated ever since.

“We can confirm that after a large-scale operation with Israel’s security services, our soldiers have arrested the assailant who killed 21-year-old Staff Sgt. Amit Ben Ygal during operational activity last month. We will continue in the fight against terror,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
