Corpus Christi shooting attack: One sailor wounded, Muslim terrorist eliminated at Naval Air Station

BREAKING: Today’s shooting at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas is terror-related, FBI officials say, warning that while the Muslim terrorist was eliminated at the scene, a second terrorist may be tied to the attack.

Authorities previously said a shooter had been neutralized. One member of the naval security forces was injured in the terror attack, the US Navy said in an earlier statement, adding that the sailor is in good condition.

The base was put on lockdown after security forces responded to reports of an active shooter around 6:15 am.

“NAS Corpus Christi is now in a lockdown status. There is an active shooter in the vicinity of the North Gate. If you are in or near the North Gate get out and away to safety. Execute lockdown procedures — remain indoors and away from windows,” stated a Facebook post.
