North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong Un may be dead or in vegetative state after botched surgery

Japanese media outlets are reporting that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is in a ‘vegetative state’  while other media reports claim he is dead.

A Beijing-backed broadcast network in Hong Kong claimed that Kim was dead, citing a “very solid source.”

Reports from South Korean news outlets suggest the dictator underwent heart surgery on April 12 and is now in a vegetative state following a botched heart surgery.

According to unconfirmed reports attributed to senior party sources in Beijing, a surgery to insert a stent went wrong because the surgeon in charge was unused to dealing with obese patients and his hands were shaking badly.

Chinese medical experts were reportedly sent to treat the North Korean dictator.

The dictator has not appeared in public since he presided over a meeting on April 11, and his absence from Day of the Sun celebrations on April 15 has fuelled speculation about his health.

A train probably belonging to Kim Jong Un has been parked at the Leadership Railway Station servicing his Wonsan compound since at least April 21, according to commercial satellite imagery.

“The train’s presence does not prove the whereabouts of the North Korean leader or indicate anything about his health but it does lend weight to reports that Kim is staying at an elite area on the country’s eastern coast,” the report said.

Asked about his health on Fox News, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said: “I don’t have anything I can share with you tonight, but the American people should know we’re watching the situation very keenly.”
