Israeli fighter jets bomb Iranian terror targets in Syria
BREAKING: Israeli fighter jets bombed weapons depots belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards terror group in Syria.
Initial reports suggest the airstrikes targeted an Iranian site north of Palmyra Airport.
Israel may have struck a number of terrorists, including a high-ranking Iranian official, according to unconfirmed reports.
According to Arab reports, Syrian air defenses have been activated over Palmyra, following alleged Israeli strikes.
Israeli jets were flying over Lebanon a few minutes previous to the attack.
Israel has acknowledged carrying out hundreds of airstrikes in Syria in recent years, most of them aimed at arms shipments to be headed from Iran to its Shiite proxy Hezbollah.
