Israel’s coronavirus death toll rises to 158 – 13,007 infected, 167 in serious condition

The number of coronavirus infections in Israel has risen to 13,007 with 158 fatalities and 167 people in serious condition, including 118 patients on ventilators.

3,247 people have recovered from the coronavirus.

Two Israeli-Arab towns in northern Israel were declared restricted areas on Friday due to concerns of a possible coronavirus outbreak.

The towns of Deir al-Asad and Bi’ina are set for a week-long lockdown starting Saturday morning.

Two weeks ago the ultra-Orthodox town of Bnei Brak was placed under strict lockdown. Several Jerusalem ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods were put under lockdown last Sunday.
