Iraq: Rockets launched by Iran-backed terrorists hit near US embassy in Baghdad

BREAKING: At least two rockets were fired by Iran-backed terrorists towards the fortified Green Zone area of Baghdad, which houses foreign embassies, including the US Embassy, and Iraqi government buildings.

According to local reports, the Union III building, which hosts coalition forces, was hit in the US Embassy compound. Additional rockets landed outside the compound.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Footage from Tahrir Beach shows the rockets exploding near the Green Zone.

Military bases hosting US troops in Iraq have been attacked by ballistic missiles from Iran and mortar shells launched almost daily by local Iran-backed terrorists, before and after the elimination of arch-terrorist Qassem Soleimani.
