🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Juniper Cobra, a massive, joint Israeli-American air defense exercise began today with 2,500 US European Command troops and 1,000 IDF soldiers taking part in a simulation of a wide-scale missile strike on Israel.

“2,500 US-EUCOM troops – 1,000 IDF soldiers – 2 weeks -1 goal:

Exercise our aerial defense systems to make sure—together—we are ready to combat any threat, anytime.

Let’s do this Flexed biceps”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.

The large-scale 10-day joint missile defense drill is taking place from March 3 to March 13.

“The exercise simulates a scenario in which American troops come to Israel and operate alongside the Aerial Defense Array in a mission to defend against missiles and rockets,” the IDF said.

“The objectives of the exercise are to strengthen cooperation, coordination and mutual learning between the two armies, as well as to improve the capability to defend against missile threats, and joint air defense,” the IDF added.

The troops will practice scenarios of missile threats in various sectors, and the simulations will include the use of the Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 missile-defense systems, advanced versions of the Iron Dome, the David Sling system as well as a ballistic image management center, in collaboration with the Home Front Command.
