Muslim terrorist jailed for 2015 stabbing attack in Gush Etzion
BREAKING: The Ofer Military Court sentenced a Muslim terrorist who stabbed and seriously wounded Israeli woman Nirit Zamora at Gush Etzion Junction five years ago, to 18 years in prison.
In addition, the court ordered the terrorist to pay compensation of NIS 500,000 to the victim.
In July 2018, the Judea Military Court sentenced the terrorist to 14 years in prison. The Military Advocate General petitioned the appeals court to harshen the sentence, following a pressure campaign from the Honenu legal aid organization representing Zamora.
Zamora expressed her deep frustration with the military court decision, describing it as a second “stab in the back.”
On October 28, 2015, Muslim terrorist Hamza Faiz attempted to murder Nirit Zamora when she was in the parking lot of the Rami Levy supermarket. He ran at her while shouting ‘allahu akbar’ and only managed to stab her once from behind because the handle of his knife broke.
The mother of eight survived the terror attack after being rushed to the hospital with the knife still lodged in her back.
