Israeli murdered in stabbing along Route 443

An 18 year-old Israeli stabbed to death during an Arab terror attack off Route 443 has been identified as an IDF soldier, it was cleared for publication Monday.

The soldier’s family has been notified.

One Israeli has been murdered and another wounded in a stabbing attack at the Dor gas station along Route 443, just outside Beit Horon (northwest of Jerusalem) Monday afternoon.

The Palestinian Arab terrorist fatally wounded a 20 year-old man. Magen David Adom (MDA) medics attempted to treat the young man at the scene, who was suffering from severe stab wounds to his upper body, but he quickly succumbed to his wounds.

Another victim, a 22 year-old woman, is suffering from light injuries. She was transferred to Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment.

Channel 2 reports that a third person, a bystander, was injured by a stray bullet – but this has yet to be confirmed.

IDF forces at the scene eliminated the terrorist, reports now indicate.

Initial reports indicate that the terrorist walked to the gas station to perform the attack. He remained unnoticed, apparently, because Palestinian Arabs from nearby villages regularly frequent the site, either to buy from the gas station kiosk or to find rides.

Updates to follow.
