Syria: Israeli fighter jets bomb Iranian terror targets

HAPPENING NOW: Israeli fighter jets are bombing weapons depots belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards terror group in Syria.

Arabs report explosions heard and “hostile” aircraft seen over Damascus.

Simultaneously, the IDF is bombing Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to rockets launched by Muslim terrorists towards southern Israel earlier tonight.

UPDATE:

At least 12 Iranian and Iranian-backed terrorists were eliminated in alleged Israeli stricks on Iranian weapon warehouses near Damascus carried out early Thursday.

The attacks were launched over the Golan Heights and Lebanese air space in two waves, one near Damascus and another near the Deraa and Quneitra provinces, according to Arab reports.

Syrian-state SANA news agency reported that a large number of missiles were downed by Syrian air defenses. However, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that many missiles hit their targets.

The missiles hit Syrian army positions and those of Iranian-backed terrorist west and south of the capital, as well as the Mazzeh military airbase in Damascus. the Observatory said.

Israel has acknowledged carrying out hundreds of airstrikes in Syria in recent years, most of them aimed at arms shipments to be headed from Iran to its Shiite proxy Hezbollah.
