Israel tests rocket propulsion system that can carry nuclear payload
BREAKING: Israel conducted a test launch of an unnamed missile from a military base located in the center of the country.
“The Israel Ministry of Defense has completed a test of a rocket propulsion system from a military base in central Israel. The test launch was scheduled in advance and carried out as planned,” the ministry said in a statement giving no further details.
Ben Gurion Airport reportedly diverted air traffic during the test to allow for the system to be fired safely.
According to reports, the missile launch was intended to test a new propulsion system of the surface-to-surface ballistic missile Jericho, that can support a nuclear payload.
