Israeli fighter jets bomb Hamas terror targets in response to a sniper attack
Israeli fighter jets bombed Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to a sniper attack targeting IDF observation cameras on the Gaza border earlier today.
According to initial reports, IDF jets dropped eight missiles on open areas east of Rafah in southern Gaza moments ago, including near the old Sufa gate.
Arabs report a rocket fired towards Sufa.
The IDF confirmed it has struck several Hamas intelligence sites in southern Gaza following earlier gunfire towards IDF observation posts and the launch of several explosive devices attached to balloons into southern Israel.
“Earlier today, fire was identified from Gaza towards an observation antenna and explosive balloons were launched into Israeli territory. In response, a short while ago, IDF aircraft and tanks targeted a number of observation means used for intelligence collection by the Hamas terror organization in southern Gaza”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.
Earlier today the IDF confirmed that Muslim terrorists opened fire towards observation cameras on the security border fence east of Khuza’a. At least two cameras were hit by the sniper fire.
Sirens warning of incoming rockets sounded today in Yad Mordechai in southern Israel. Apparently, the sirens were triggered by machine-gun fire towards IDF drones flying over Gaza.
