IDF bombs Hamas terror targets in Gaza in response to incendiary balloons
BREAKING: IDF aircraft bombed Hamas terror targets in northern Gaza in retaliation to several explosive devices and firebombs attached to balloons launched by Muslim terrorists towards southern Israel.
“Terrorists in Gaza launched explosive balloons at Israeli homes throughout the day. In response, an IDF attack helicopter just struck underground Hamas infrastructure. We won’t let Hamas terrorize Israeli civilians”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
According to Arab reports, the IDF bombed a terror tunnel in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza.
At least 16 explosive devices and firebombs attached to balloons launched by Muslim terrorists in Gaza landed in southern Israel in the last 24 hours.
One of the terror cells responsible for the explosive devices is affiliated with the Islamic Jihad. The terrorists call themselves after E’yad Abdel Aal, a Muslim terrorist eliminated in Khan Yunis.
The terror cell posted on social media pictures of bombs ready to be launched towards Israel.
An explosive device attached to a bunch of balloons was found in the Eshkol Regional Council.
Police sappers were called to neutralize the bomb, which exploded as the forces arrived at the scene.
No one was hurt.
Yesterday, an explosive device attached to a bunch of balloons landed in the city of Sderot in southern Israel.
Roads were closed in the area while police sappers neutralized the bomb.
