US urges all American citizens to leave Iraq immediately following elimination of arch-terrorist Soleimani
The US embassy in Baghdad has called on all American citizens to leave Iraq immediately. It comes just as Iranian arch-terrorist Qasem Soleimani was eliminated in a US airstrike ordered by President Trump and Iran vowed “crushing revenge”.
“Due to heightened tensions in Iraq and the region, we urge U.S. citizens to depart Iraq immediately,” the State Department said in the alert.
The alert also said all consular operations are suspended at the U.S. embassy in Baghdad “Due to Iranian-backed militia attacks at the U.S. Embassy compound.”
“U.S. citizens should not approach the Embassy,” the alert said.
The UK army has reportedly increased security in its bases across the Middle East.
Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s extra-territorial terror group Quds Force chief, was eliminated in a drone strike at Baghdad International Airport. The White House said President Trump ordered the strike in the early hours of Friday.
Muslim terrorist Qassem Soleimani was targeted while being driven from Baghdad airport by local Iran-backed terrorists from the PMU terror group.
The deputy head of the PMU, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandes, a close Soleimani associate, was also eliminated in the strike.
