Iran condemns strikes on Hezbollah terrorists - US vows additional actions against Iran

US officials said that airstrikes in Iraq and Syria against an Iran-backed terror group were successful and warned that “additional actions” may still be taken in the region to defend US interests.

US forces drone-bombed headquarters of the Iranian proxy Kataib Hezbollah terror group in the town of al-Qaim, near al-Bukamal in the Syria-Iraq border, in response to the killing of a US civilian contractor in a rocket attack on an Iraqi military base hosting US forces.

At 25 Muslim terrorists were eliminated and 51 others wounded in the strikes.

“We will not stand for the Islamic Republic of Iran to take actions that put American men and women in jeopardy,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters.

Iran condemned on Monday what they called “terrorist” US attacks on the Iranian-backed Kataib Hezbollah terror group.

“US military aggression against Iraqi soil and Iraqi forces is strongly condemned as a clear example of terrorism … and Iran strongly condemns it,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said, according to the Islamic regime news agency IRNA.

Kataib Hezbollah terror group said that their terrorists are in a state of “mobilization”, “the battle with America is open to all possibilities, no option but confrontation,” they said.
