IDF launches major drill for war readiness in northern Israel
A large-scale military drill simulating a number of war scenarios will start this evening in northern Israel and is expected to end on Wednesday evening.
As part of the exercise, there will be an intense movement of security forces, vehicles, and aircraft. Sirens and explosions will be heard in the Galilee and Golan areas.
The exercise was planned as a part of a series of preparations for 2019 to enhance the Northern Command unit’s readiness.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting said that if Hezbollah terror group leader Hassan Nasrallah dares to attack Israel, Hezbollah and Lebanon will pay a very heavy price.
