Israel bombs Islamic Jihad terror targets in Gaza: 11 Muslim terrorists eliminated
BREAKING: The IDF targeted a group of Islamic Jihad terrorists who were on their way to launch rockets at Israeli civilians. Medical crews recovered three carcasses from the strike area in al-Baraka area of Beit Lahiya.
“The Israeli Air Force just targeted 3 Islamic Jihad terrorists who fired rockets from Gaza at Israeli civilians earlier today. Terror target civilians. Israel targets terror”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
Eleven Islamic Jihad terrorists have been eliminated and 50 others injured in Gaza since this morning.
The IDF announced the fourth wave of strikes against Islamic Jihad terror targets in Gaza and began targeting high rises. Israeli officials told the Egyptian mediators that this will be the response to continued rocket fire.
A building in al Mawasi region west Gaza was targeted.
IDF artillery targeted terror infrastructure east of Al-Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Earlier today, an Israeli explosive-laden drone targeted Muslim terrorists as they changed rocket fire positions on a motorcycle in northern Gaza, eliminating one of them and injuring 11 others.
Since 5:00 am, Islamic Jihad terrorists have fired more than 200 rockets from Gaza at Israeli civilians. About 100 were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system. The rocket barrages were triggered by the targeted elimination of Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Atta in a predawn Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
Netanyahu said that the senior Islamic Jihad terrorist eliminated by the IDF fired hundreds of rockets, planned more attacks and was a “ticking bomb”.
In response to the rockets, the IDF targeted terror training compounds, underground weapon manufacturing sites and weapon storage facilities and an underground terror tunnel belonging to the Islamic Jihad terror group.
“Above and below ground, we will continue to defend Israeli civilians”, the IDF said.
