The war against Islamic Jihad in Gaza – 200 rockets fired at Israeli civilians
Since 5:00 am, Islamic Jihad terrorists have fired 200 rockets from Gaza at Israeli civilians. About 90 were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system.
The terrorists’ goal is to murder as many Israeli citizens as possible, including babies.

Rockets launched by Muslim terrorists hit homes in Sderot, Netivot and Kerem Shalom. A factory was directly hit a factory in Sderot, causing a huge fire. A rocket landed near a house in Rishon Lezion in central Israel. Three people were lightly wounded by a rocket near Gan Yavne in central Israel.
An 8-year-old girl collapsed while running for shelter in Holon. She was evacuated to Wolfson hospital in serious condition.

The Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center, an NGO to support victims of trauma from war and terrorism, reports a massive increase in the number of calls to its helpline.
The Home Front Command instructed residents of Gush Dan and southern Israel not to go to work that is not essential and to remain home or near a bomb shelter.
Schools were closed today in southern Israel and Gush Dan. Over a million pupils missed studies.
The rocket barrages were triggered by the targeted elimination of Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Atta in a predawn Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
Simultaneously, the Islamic Jihad announced the targeting of the home of a Muslim terrorist member of the Political Bureau of the terror group, Akram Ajouri, in Damascus and the elimination of his son and a number of his bodyguards.
In response to the rockets, the IDF targeted terror training compounds, underground weapon manufacturing sites and weapon storage facilities belonging to the Islamic Jihad terror group.
In addition, the Israeli Air Force struck the opening of an Islamic Jihad underground terror tunnel in Gaza. They planned to use it to attack Israeli civilians.
“Above and below ground, we will continue to defend Israeli civilians”, the IDF said.
According to Arab reports, seven Islamic Jihad terrorists were eliminated in the strikes.
An Israeli explosive-laden drone targeted Muslim terrorists as they changed rocket fire positions on a motorcycle in northern Gaza, eliminating one of them.
The IDF confirmed the strike, saying that a rocket launching squad was hit. Arabs reported one terrorist eliminated and 11 wounded in the strike.
Speaking to reporters at the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv, PM Netanyahu said that “Israel is not interested in escalation, but we will do everything required to protect ourselves.”
“This could take time. What is needed is stamina and cool-headedness,” Netanyahu added.
Netanyahu said that the senior Islamic Jihad terrorist eliminated by the IDF fired hundreds of rockets, planned more attacks and was a “ticking bomb”.
The IDF has called up several hundred soldiers due to the escalation in Gaza. The call-up includes members of Iron Dome missile defense units, Military Intelligence and the Home Front Command.
Residents in southern Israel posted on social media photos and videos of IDF tanks and military hardware heading toward the Gaza border.
