HAPPENING NOW: Israeli fighter jets are bombing terror targets in northern Gaza following massive barrages of rockets launched from Gaza at Israeli civilians after the elimination of Muslim terrorist Baha Abu al-Ata, the commander of the Islamic Jihad in northern Gaza and the assassination attempt of a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist in Damascus.

A terror target near al-Nada Towers in northern Gaza was reportedly bombed.

In a joint operation, the IDF and Shin Bet targeted a building in Gaza eliminating Muslim terrorist Baha Abu al-Ata, the commander of the Islamic Jihad in northern Gaza.

Simultaneously, the Islamic Jihad announced the targeting of the home of a Muslim terrorist member of the Political Bureau of the terror group, Akram Ajouri, in Damascus and the elimination of his son and a number of his bodyguards.

BREAKING: Massive barrages of rockets are being fired by Muslim terrorists from Gaza into southern and central Israel following the elimination of Muslim terrorist Baha Abu al-Ata, the commander of the Islamic Jihad in northern Gaza and the assassination attempt of a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist in Damascus.

The IDF said that the Iron Dome defense system intercepted 60 of the 160 rockets launched from Gaza as of 2 pm.

Emergency services treated 29 people. One of them was wounded by shrapnel, 15 were injured while running for shelter and 13 suffered from shock.

An 8-year-old girl collapsed while running for shelter in Holon. She was evacuated to Wolfson hospital in serious condition.

The Home Front Command instructed residents of Gush Dan and southern Israel not to go to work that is not essential.

Residents in Israel’s central Dan and Yarkon regions were instructed not to congregate more than 300 people in closed spaces. “Non-essential jobs” are permissible provided readily accessible, standard shelters.

Gatherings of up to 100 people have been limited in southern Israel.

Schools will remain closed today in southern Israel, Gush Dan and Jerusalem. Over a million pupils are missing studies.

Israel Railways announced that train stations in Israeli communities near the Gaza border have been closed and train lines in southern Israel have been canceled.
