Anti-aircraft missile fired at Israeli drone over south Lebanon missed the target
BREAKING: An anti-aircraft missile was fired at an Israeli drone over southern Lebanon but missed the target, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.
Lebanese channel Al-Mayadeen reported an IDF drone shot down near Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon. Later, the Hezbollah terror group confirmed it targeted an Israeli drone “forcing it to leave Lebanese airspace”.
Chief Of Staff Kohavi was briefed on the event in Lebanon in the Palmachim base.
According to sources, the airspace in Israel north of Haifa has been closed to air traffic following the anti-aircraft attack.
Earlier this month, an IDF drone crashed near the border with Lebanon. The IDF said that the drone crashed during routine operations.
