Israel adjusts air defense systems in preparation for potential Iranian attack from Yemen
BREAKING: The IDF has adjusted air defense systems in preparation for a potential Iranian attack, Channel 12 reports.
The adjustment is for potential cruise missiles or suicide drones from areas that have not yet been fired at Israel.
In addition, Israeli delegations worldwide are on high alert due to potential Iranian attacks.
Earlier today, speaking with visiting U.S. Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin, PM Netanyahu said that Iran has begun deploying missiles in Yemen in order to strike Israel.
“Iran is seeking to develop new precision-guided munitions, missiles that can hit any target in the Middle East with a circumference of five to ten meters. They are developing this in Iran”, Netanyahu said.
“They want to place them in Iraq and in Syria, and to convert Lebanon’s arsenal of 130,000 statistical rockets to precision-guided munitions. They seek also to develop that and have already begun to put that in Yemen, with the goal of reaching Israel from there too”, the PM added.
Over the past few days, Netanyahu warned regarding the possibility of a renewed flare-up between Tehran and Jerusalem.
Netanyahu also called on Washington to impose additional sanctions to stop Iran’s “plunge for everything” in the Middle East.
