16 wanted terrorists arrested in Judea and Samaria – Weapons seized
The IDF arrested 16 Muslim terrorists in Judea and Samaria, who were wanted for involvement in terrorism and violent disorders directed against civilians and security personnel.
The terrorists were turned over to security agencies for further investigation.
Three Muslim terrorists from Jenin were arrested Wednesday evening for involvement in terrorism.
As part of an ongoing campaign against illegal weapons, IDF and Border Police forces seized a local-made Carlo submachine gun in the Arab village of al-Eizariya, east of Jerusalem.
Violent riots broke out as the forces were leaving the village, with Muslim terrorists throwing rocks and firebombs at the troops, who responded with riot dispersal measures.
Dozens of Muslims rioted near Ofer Prison, northwest of Jerusalem. The rioters blocked the entrance to the Bitunya Crossing, disrupted its activities and attempted to sabotage the security fence.
Security forces responded with crow dispersal methods against the rioters. A 20-year-old from Shechem was arrested after attacking the troops.
