Rockets fired by Muslim terrorists from Gaza hit open areas in southern Israel
BREAKING: Rockets were fired by Muslim terrorists in Gaza towards southern Israel.
Code Red rocket sirens sounded at an IDF base in Nachal Oz only, where the rockets were headed, and not the entire Nachal Oz area. Sirens on IDF bases do not trigger Red Alert notifications on apps.
Two rockets fired by Muslim terrorists from Beit Hanoun area in northern Gaza exploded in open areas in Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council in southern Israel.
The IDF confirmed one rocket launched from Gaza exploded in southern Israel.
“This is the 5th rocket fired from Gaza in the last 6 days”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
Israeli fighter jets carried out retaliatory strikes targeting Hamas terror infrastructure in Gaza following the rocket attack.
“In response to the rocket fired from Gaza to Israel we just struck a number of military targets in a Hamas naval facility in the northern Gaza Strip”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
At 1 am, shortly after the retaliatory strikes, another rocket launched from Gaza exploded in an open area near Nacha Oz.
Hamas has threatened to escalate terror attacks along the Gaza border if Israel delays the Qatari money expected to arrive by the end of this week, a member of the terror group told Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar.
Qatari envoy Mohammed al-Emadi is expected to arrive in the next few days to oversee the disbursement of another $25 million in $100 bills and to discuss infrastructure projects included in the truce agreement between Hamas and Israel.
Hamas’s threat comes after a weekend of escalated tensions. Five Muslim terrorists armed with rifles were eliminated after attempting to invade Israel Saturday night.
