North Korea fires at least 2 ‘unidentified missiles’ into the sea
At least two missiles have been fired into the Sea of Japan by North Korea, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
The unidentified projectiles flew about 430km (267 miles), the joint chiefs of staff said, but did not elaborate further, adding that the South Korean military is monitoring the situation in case of additional launches.
South Korean and American militaries are currently in the process of analyzing the exact type of missiles fired.
This would be the first launching of projectiles reported since President Donald Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un met at the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas at the end of June.
