Muslim Bedouin terrorist planned to attack an Israeli hotel on behalf of Hamas
The Shin Bet and the Israel Police have arrested a Muslim Bedouin terrorist from the southern Israel city of Rahat, who was planning to carry out a terror attack targeting an Israeli hotel on behalf of Hamas, it was cleared for publication on Sunday.
According to the Shin Bet, 20-year-old Muslim terrorist Abu Hudayb began supporting Hamas after being exposed to the terror group’s propaganda on the internet.
The investigation also revealed that the Bedouin terrorist purchased materials and tried to prepare a bomb in order to murder Jews at the Leonardo hotel in Ashdod, where he worked as a gardener.
He also tried to prepare a rocket and even purchased various materials.
During the interrogation, the terrorist handed over five grenades (2 tear gas canisters, 2 stun grenades, and a smoke grenade), as well as a Carlo submachine gun in his possession.
