After 10 years Pakistan arrests Muslim terrorist who planned 2008 Mumbai attacks

After more than 10 years, Pakistan officials have finally arrested a Muslim terrorist wanted by the US, who was the mastermind behind the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, just days ahead of PM Imran Khan’s trip to Washington.
Muslim terrorist Hafiz Saeed, founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) armed terror group and head of its Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) wing, was arrested on terror finance charges and sent to jail in Lahore on Wednesday.
He was sent to judicial custody and will face trial, said reports quoting a spokesperson for the chief minister of Punjab province.
“The main charge is that he is gathering funds for banned outfits, which is illegal,” said the Punjab province spokesman.
The move comes days before Pakistan Prime Minister’s visit to Washington, where he will hold talks with President Donald Trump. The US has offered a $10 million reward for information leading to Hafiz Saeed’s conviction over the 26/11 attacks.
On November 26, 2008, 10 heavily armed Muslim terrorists sailed from Pakistan, landed on the Mumbai coastline and attacked the countryâs financial and entertainment hub, murdering 166 people, including 6 at the Chabad house and 6 American citizens in a series of 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks.
Throughout the terror attacks, the focus was Hotel Taj. The terrorists also attacked Mumbaiâs Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus âCSTâ railway station.
In the 2008 attack, six people, including Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivkaâwho ran the Mumbai Chabad Jewish outreach centerâwere killed when four terrorists entered the premises and murdered any Jews they found inside. Their infant son, Moshe, escaped in the arms of his nanny, Sandra Samuel, who is currently living in Israel.
“After a ten year search, the so-called âmastermindâ of the Mumbai Terror attacks has been arrested in Pakistan. Great pressure has been exerted over the last two years to find him!”, President Trump tweeted.
