Armed Muslim terrorist eliminated after approaching border fence with Gaza
BREAKING: An armed Muslim terrorist was shot and eliminated by IDF troops after approaching the security border fence near Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed that troops opened fire at two armed terrorists who were seen walking toward the security border fence east of Beit Hanoun.
The terrorist has been identified as 28-year-old Mahmoud al-Adham, a senior member of the Hamas armed wing Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, whose sole mission is to murder Jews.
The IDF ordered all engineering units and personnel working along the security fence to leave the border area immediately.
Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other terror groups and factions in Gaza vowed that their terrorists would retaliate and have gathered in the joint operations room to discuss a response to the event.
According to Arab reports, all Hamas terror facilities were evacuated ahead of an expected response from the terrorist factions.
The IDF on Monday discovered a Hamas terror tunnel that crosses into Israeli territory, during the construction of the underground barrier along the Gaza border.
The IDF has destroyed 18 cross-border terror tunnels that infiltrated into Israeli territory in the past five years, since Operation Protective Edge.
