Watch – Trump Square: Israeli city dedicates square in honor of US President
A square in the central Israel city of Petah Tikva was named today in honor of US President Donald Trump, in recognition of his unqualified support for the Jewish State.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Petah Tikva Mayor Rami Greenberg, representatives of the American Embassy and Knesset representatives.
“Israel never had a president who is as supportive and helpful as US President Donald Trump,” Greenberg said.
“It is only fitting to name a major square in the fourth largest Israeli city after him,” he added.
A week ago, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz said in a tweet that a train stop in the Old City of Jerusalem would be named for Trump.
Last month, PM Netanyahu named a town in the Golan after President Trump, as a gesture of thanks to the American president for recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
