Protests and violent Muslim riots against US-led Bahrain workshop began in the PA

Hundreds of Muslims gathered in Ramallah, in protest of the US-led economic conference to begin in Bahrain tomorrow as part of the first part of the Mideast plan, which calls for $50 billion in investments for the PA and neighboring Arab states.

The two-day event, which is led by US senior adviser Jared Kushner, is boycotted by the PA leadership. The protests and riots are expected to last for three days.

Protesters in Ramallah chanted slogans against Trump, the US, the peace proposal, and the Bahrain conference.

Similar rallies followed by violent riots took place in Hevron, Bethlehem, Jenin, Shechem, Tulkarm, Salfit, and Qalqilya.

Last week, the White House called for $50 billion in investments for the PA and neighboring Arab states as part of the Mideast plan, which calls for increased infrastructure projects between Gaza and the Judea-Samaria, with a stated goal to “empower” the Arab population.
