A Jordanian terrorist was arrested early Wednesday after he crossed the border into Israeli territory in the northern Arava region near Kibbutz Hatzeva.
The terrorist was armed with a knife.
He was arrested near the crossing point and taken by security forces for questioning.
In addition, the IDF arrested seven Muslim terrorists overnight in Judea and Samaria, who were wanted for involvement in terrorism and violent disorders directed against civilians and security personnel.
Border Police forces came under attack by rock-throwing terrorists during a counter-terrorism operation in the Arab neighborhood of Issawiya in East Jerusalem. Following an investigation, three Muslim terrorists were identified, arrested, and turned over to security agencies.
