Commander Salami: Iran's ballistic missiles capable of hitting carriers in the sea

The commander of Iran’s IRGC terror group said on Tuesday that Iran’s ballistic missiles were capable of hitting “carriers in the sea” with great precision.

“These missiles can hit with great precision carriers in the sea … These missiles are domestically produced and are difficult to intercept and hit with other missiles,” Commander Salami said in a televised speech.

It came a day after the US military announced that will send an additional 1,000 troops to the Middle East and tensions between the US and Iran continue to escalate.

Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan said the deployment was in response to the “hostile behavior” by Iranian forces and their proxy terror groups that threaten United States personnel and interests across the region.

The US Navy also shared new images that show the country’s Revolutionary Guard were responsible for attacks last week on two oil tankers near the Persian Gulf.
