Israeli fighter jets bomb Hamas terror targets in response to rocket attack from Gaza
HAPPENING NOW: Israeli fighter jets are carrying out retaliatory strikes targeting Hamas terror infrastructure in Gaza after a rocket launched by Muslim terrorists hit the Chabad building in the southern Israeli city of Sderot.
According to Arab reports, the IDF struck Hamas infrastructure in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
IDF artillery positioned east of Rafah, fired two shells into an empty agricultural land. No injuries were reported.
“Last night, a rocket fired from Gaza struck a school and synagogue in Israel. A short while ago, we struck Hamas terror targets in Gaza. Terror targets civilians, Israel targets terror”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit tweeted.
The IDF said targets included terror infrastructure in Hamas facilities as well as a facility belonging to the terror group’s naval forces.
“We will continue to work against any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and sees the Hamas terror group as responsible for everything that happens in the Gaza Strip and everything that is launched from it,” said the statement.
Rocket sirens sounded and explosions were heard Thursday night in Sderot. A rocket launched by Muslim terrorists from Gaza hit a building in Sderot. Inside the building, there is a synagogue and a Jewish school. Thankfully, no students were injured by the blast.
