3 wanted terrorists arrested in Judea and Samaria – General closure imposed for Memorial, Independence Days
BREAKING: The IDF arrested three Muslim terrorists overnight in Judea and Samaria, who were wanted for involvement in terrorism and violent disorders directed against civilians and security personnel.
The terrorists were turned over to security agencies for further investigation.
In addition, as part of an ongoing campaign against illegal weapons in the Arab village of Az-Zawiya, the IDF, Border Police, and the Israeli Police seized a local made ‘Carlo’ submachine gun.
A 16-year-old Muslim terrorist was arrested Tuesday morning for throwing firecrackers at the Jewish neighborhood of Maale Zeitim on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
The IDF put in place a total closure of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza ahead of Memorial Day and Independence Day this week.
The closure, a routine counter-terrorism procedure during Israeli and Jewish holidays, will begin overnight Tuesday at 12:01 am. and last until 12:01 am Friday.
Palestinian Authority workers will not be allowed into Israel during the closure to prevent terror attacks during Memorial Day and Independence Day.
The Kerem Shalom and Erez crossings with Gaza have been closed since Saturday in response to the recent escalation which saw 700 rockets fired by Muslim terrorists and four Israeli civilians murdered.
These terminals remained closed through Monday.
The passage from Judea and Samaria to other parts of Israel and from Gaza into Israel will only be permitted for humanitarian, medical and exceptional cases, subject to the approval of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.
