15 wanted terrorists arrested overnight – Manhunt for Muslim terrorists behind Ariel attack continues

The IDF arrested 15 Muslim terrorists overnight in Judea and Samaria, who were wanted for involvement in terrorism and violent disorders directed against civilians and security personnel.

The terrorists were turned over to security agencies for further investigation.

As part of an ongoing campaign against illegal weapons, IDF troops and Border Police officers seized local-made “Carlo” submachine guns, a handgun and two other weapons in Shechem and the nearby Arab village of Azmut.

The IDF operated overnight in the Arab village of Zawiya as a manhunt continues for the Muslim terrorists who murdered  Rabbi Achiad Ettinger and Staff Sgt. Gal Kaidan, in a combined stabbing and shooting attack at Ariel Junction.

“Security forces continue in their pursuit of the terrorist who conducted the attack at the Ariel Junction and the Gitai Avishar Junction earlier this week,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.

During the manhunt, troops raided the terrorist’s home and shop, questioned members of his family and arrested his father and brother for further interrogation.

A vehicle with at least two Muslim terrorists arrived Sunday morning at the Ariel Junction. One of the terrorists stabbed Sgt. Gal Kaidan and shot him with his own gun.

The terrorists then shot another man, apparently a foreign national, stole his car and fled the scene.

They drove to a bus stop at Gitai Avishar Junction, where they shot Rabbi Ahiad Ettinger, before fleeing the scene in the direction of Barkan.

A second IDF soldier, Alexander Dvorsky, was taken to the Beilinson Hospital in critical condition. He is no longer in mortal danger, hospital officials said Tuesday morning. He is fully conscious, breathing on his own and speaking. He is listed now in moderate to severe condition.

Thousands of people turned out Monday to pay their last respects to Rabbi Achiad Ettinger HY”D and IDF Staff Sgt. Gal Kaidan HY”D.
