Terror in Samaria: IDF soldier, Border Policeman injured in ramming attack – 2 Muslim terrorists eliminated, 1 injured
BREAKING: An IDF soldier and a Border Police officer were injured when Muslim terrorists rammed their car into them in the Arab village of Kafr Nimma in the Ephraim Regional Brigade of northern Samaria.
Two Muslim terrorists were shot and eliminated by IDF forces; a third terrorist was lightly injured.
“IDF soldiers who stopped on the side of the road northwest of Ramallah were run over by terrorists. In response, the troops fired towards the terrorists, neutralizing two of them and lightly injuring another”, the IDF said.
The soldier and the officer, both in their early twenties, were evacuated to Tel Hashomer hospital where one remains in serious condition, a Magen David Adom spokesperson said.
An initial investigation suggests that the terrorist cell responsible for the ramming attack was throwing firebombs at a crossing point near Route 443 a few hours earlier, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.
Violent riots ongoing in Kafr Nimma, with Muslim terrorists calling for revenge after IDF troops eliminated the terrorists who ran them over. The IDF is responding with crowd dispersal methods.
“This morning IDF soldiers eliminated the terrorists who tried to run them over. We send our best wishes for a quick recovery to the officer who was wounded and will do everything to speed up the demolition of the homes of these murderers, such as the murderer of Ori Ansbacher“, PM Netanyahu said.
“I have ordered that the demolitions of these homes be speeded up in the context of the restrictions of the judicial system. We are determined to continue our vigorous struggle against the murderers and against terrorism everywhere”, Netanyahu added.
Overnight, IDF troops operated in the Ramallah area as part of a counter-terrorism campaign targeting the Hamas terror group. IDF and Border Police forces arrested 11 Hamas terrorists during the operation.
