Anti-Semitic Airbnb denies Israeli claims, says company still discriminating against Jews

Airbnb announced that reports indicating the company decided not to implement its anti-Semitic removal of listings from Jewish houses in Judea and Samaria are inaccurate.

This comes after Tourism Minister Yariv Levin announced that following a meeting with executives the company changed its position.

Israeli media reported Monday that Airbnb has suspended the implementation of its prior decision to remove listings in Jewish houses in Judea and Samaria, after sending a delegation to Israel to meet with Tourism Minister Yariv Levin.

Tourism Minister Yariv Levin said the company’s decision “is a step in the right direction” and added he will “continue to make sure all Israeli citizens get equal treatment and keep on strengthening tourism in Israel, including in Judea and Samaria.”

The home-renting company last month decided to surrender to Muslim terrorism and announced that will remove its listings in Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria in Israel.

The decision could lead to about 200 listings being removed from the accommodations website, which allows home-owners to rent out rooms, apartments and houses to people.

The Judea and Samaria Council said in response that “a company that has no qualms about renting apartments in dictatorships around the world and in places that have no relationship with human rights is singling out Israel. This can only be a result of anti-Semitism or surrendering to terrorism – or both.”

The city council of Beverly Hills in California voted unanimously last month to withdraw apartment listings for the city from Airbnb.

A group of Jewish Americans sued Airbnb Inc in U.S. federal court for religious discrimination over its decision.
