Ramming attack thwarted in Hevron — Muslim terrorist shot and eliminated
BREAKING: On Sunday morning, an attempted car-ramming attack was thwarted in Hevron, near the Cave of the Patriarchs.
A Muslim terrorist attempted to run over IDF troops located at the site with his vehicle. In response, the troops fired towards the terrorist, eliminating him.
No IDF injuries reported
An initial investigation of the attempted terror attack, carried out on the ground with the force, shows that a Muslim terrorist riding an all-terrain vehicle sped towards a military force securing a checkpoint leading to the Tomb of the Patriarchs from Kiryat Arba.
The soldiers called for him to stop, but the terrorist didn’t heed their warnings and, after failing to ram them, made a U-turn and tried to ram them again, at which point the force opened fire on him.
Concrete blocks placed around the soldiers’ position prevented, apparently, the driver from running them over.
The attempted terror attack took place while Jewish worshipers were passing by, and during a period when the IDF allows full entry for Muslims in Judea-Samaria and Jerusalem, on the occasion of Jihad month of Ramadan.
