Arab sources reported the targets included farmland east of the Zaytun Quarter in Gaza City and two Hamas terror posts. There have been no reports of injuries.

“The IDF will continue acting to ensure the security of Israel’s citizens with all means at its disposal. The Hamas terror organization is responsible for everything that happens inside the Gaza Strip and coming out of it,” the IDF Spokesman’s Office said after the strike.

On Thursday morning, IDF forces neutralized an explosive device placed near the Gaza-Israel border. In response, the IDF fired from the air and from a tank at targets belonging to the Hamas terror group, which controls Gaza.

Another explosive device detonated near Gaza border on Saturday.

A short time after the explosion the IDF fired several tank shells at a Hamas observation post east of Shuja’iyya.

The IDF released a statement saying, “An explosive device detonated near the border fence in the northern Gaza Strip. No forces were in the vicinity at the time of the explosion. No damage or casualties were caused to our forces.”

Last month a hidden roadside bomb was detonated near soldiers from the Golani Brigade as they were attempting to take down a flag that was affixed to the border fence. Four soldiers were wounded by the blast, two seriously.
