The roof of a residence in the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council was directly hit by a rocket launched from Gaza Strip Saturday evening.
The family was home, but no one was harmed as the rocket failed to explode.
Several people were stricken with anxiety and the residence was damaged.
The rocket was launched hours after four IDF soldiers were wounded—two seriously and two moderately—when an explosive device detonated near the border fence.
Residents reported hearing explosions after Code Red alarms were triggered in several Sha’ar HaNegev and Eshkol Regional Councils communities, although the Eshkol Code Red was later deemed a false alarm.
In retaliation to the explosion earlier Saturday, the Israeli Air Force attacked six Hamas terror targets across Gaza, including an offensive tunnel running from the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza towards Israel, as well as a military complex in the vicinity of Netzarim and another complex near Khan Yunis.
