Among the arrested, Hamas terrorist Hassan Yousef, one of the terror group’s most senior leaders in Judea and Samaria.

Yousef was only recently released from administrative detention. He has been arrested multiple times over the last few years for periods ranging from a few months to a year.

The terrorist was arrested for “involvement in promoting and advancing Hamas’s activities in Judea and Samaria”, it confirmed in a statement after Arab media broke news of the arrest.

Earlier this week, he called for a violent response to US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Yousef is also known for having disowned his son, Mosab Hassan Yousef, after he worked as an informant for the Shin Bet under the codename “The Green Prince.”

The younger Yousef went public several years ago with having been a top source of inside information on Hamas’s terror activities in the service of Israel’s domestic security service during the Second Intifada that began in 2000, when Hamas carried out dozens of suicide bombings and other attacks against the Jewish state.

He has since reportedly converted to Christianity and fled to the United States, and likewise published an auto-biography of his fascinating work thwarting Hamas’s terror schemes.
